Good news though, I am fairly close on finishing a new episode! Expect that in the next few days.

All new episodes will have this album art, but in keeping with nostalgia I will keep the old album art on all the older episodes.

Also, expect a redesign of the Podcast website in the (hopefully) near future to reflect with the new album art.

This may just be my favorite thing I’ve gotten in the mail. It represents years of memories, an inside joke, and a time that was the peak of the fandom for me.

Just a quick preview video the Three Virtues guys made to get you all excited for MakutaFest tomorrow. Don’t forget, it is at 7 Eastern Time, and you can listen in at this link.

As you know, we have two grand prizes. You have the opportunity to enter to win both, or for one of them. However, it is worth noting that if you win the first prize, you’re eliminated from winning the second. The first prize we will be giving away will be the silver Kanohi. The second is the mask case.

Basically what we’re getting at is this: We have these. We want you to have them. Enjoy them if you win. A reminder: The silver Kanohi are all in near-mint condition, and the mask case has an optional bonus of having Dan Parker (LEGO Certified Professional) and my own signatures on the back (or front) in silver permanent marker. It’s been a while! I’m just here to say a few things.

First, I’d like to inform everyone that the BS01 Podcast has been funded for another year.
The cost is not something we ever talk about publicly, and the podcast is not sponsored like BS01 used to be. But I thought I should let everyone know that I’m paying for it to be around for at least another year, and we have no current plans for it to go anywhere.

Also, I have been discussing with other BIONICLE podcasters new methods of effectively reviving the BIONICLE podcast fanbase and ways of promoting continued interaction. I remember the days of overflowing questions and comments fondly.
I realize that the podcasting venue of entertainment and interaction is not as fresh as it was when the BS01 Podcast was at the height of its popularity in its first year, but I still believe that podcasting is a strong and very enjoyable platform for the community to interact in ways that we don’t get to otherwise as BIONICLE fans.

Bionicleman is planning another episode soon, so you’ll be hearing from us before long!

• Personally, this MakutaFest required tons of multi-tasking. From partaking in the show, monitoring (and occasionally posting in) the chat, watching my email for people’s Skype names/phone numbers and putting them into my contacts, adding people to the podcast call, communicating with the other hosts, and more, it was a bit hectic to be honest. But the hardest part of MF11 was letting everyone know that I would be stepping down after the show. I need to finish up a few loose ends, and I will post more about that in the coming days. This isn’t goodbye just yet, MakutaFest left me with a bit of work before I can move on. =)

That’s about it, guys. I am really pleased with MakutaFest 2011, and I’m really grateful to everyone who played a part in setting it up, putting it on, listening, calling in, everyone.

I’ll be pretty busy the next few days, wrapping things up and making sure Bionicleman has and knows everything he needs to carry the BS01 Podcast on. He will do fantastic, and I’m really excited to see where the show goes from here, along with the rest of the BIONICLE fandom! You’ll hear from me soon.

It’s really shaping up to be an awesome show. Coming together as a fanbase in a way that is much different than forum interaction or other outlets is really exciting to me. I think that MakutFest is a good example of how BIONICLE fans are still dedicated. I’m really looking forward to the event, it will be fun and prizes will be given away!

Grant-Sud and Cholie will be joining me on the BS01 side, so 1/3 of the cast will be new to live podcasting. Maybe I should have asked them if they experience stage-fright…

Kidding aside, they’re great podcasters and will do well on MakutaFest. Mesonak, Varderan and Eljay will be making up the TTV half, so that’s what you have to look forward to!

As their front page said, MakutaFest 2011 is almost here. I’m not quite sure who gave the news reporter the date and time, because I hadn’t even heard about that! But We are shooting for August, I’m just honestly not sure which day the event will be held.

If you don’t know, MF is a live podcast where the audience gets to interact with the hosts of the Three Virtues and the BS01 Podcast. We have prizes to give away, and we’re looking forward to all the fun that is to be had!

I will definitely keep you posted in the following days as more details are confirmed.
